IDA Ireland is Ireland’s inward Investment Promotion and Development Agency with a specialist team responsible for the global biopharmaceutical sector. The agency partners with overseas companies to secure new investment in Ireland and collaborates to assist companies expand their existing footprint in Ireland.
InterTradeIreland is the cross-border trade and business development body funded by the Department of Business Enterprise and Innovation in Ireland and the Department for the Economy. InterTradeIreland helps small businesses explore new cross-border markets, develop new products, processes and services and become investor ready. We provide practical cross-border business funding, business intelligence and meaningful contacts to SMEs across the island, north and south, looking to grow their businesses. Set-up in 1999, InterTradeIreland has assisted over 42,000 companies, generated £1.2 billion in business development value and has had a jobs creation and retention impact of over 16,000.
Science Foundation Ireland
Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) is the Irish government’s largest competitive funder of scientific research in Ireland. We support outstanding research that will underpin economic development and assist international and indigenous industry to grow and flourish in Ireland. The agency offers several state funding mechanisms which help industry and academia build competitive advantage by enhancing their R&D capabilities; engage in projects of scale, excellence and relevance; and explore novel opportunities and priorities. SFI has a range of funding programmes that suit industry-academic interactions and industry-informed research, from seeding an initial engagement with an academic group to large scale collaborative research endeavours.
